Cody Updegrave – Managing Media with Teens
Social media was created to tap into the brain’s reward system making teens especially vulnerable to media overuse and digital addiction. The session explores how technology is intentionally designed to capture attention and influence identity, while equipping leaders with practical ways to guide teens toward healthier habits, stronger boundaries, and a more grounded sense of self.
Nate Smith – Confrontation, Conflict, Crisis
In ministry, confrontation, conflict, and crisis aren’t detours—they’re often the very places where God does His deepest leadership shaping. This session will equip leaders to navigate unexpected, unwanted, and even unfair moments with spiritual clarity and practical confidence. Instead of avoiding hard moments, we’ll explore how God uses them to form stronger leaders, healthier cultures, and more resilient ministries. We’ll look at biblical patterns, real-world scenarios, and leadership principles that turn pressure points into growth points. Whether you’re facing tension on your team, conflict in your church, or a crisis that came out of nowhere, you’ll discover tools to respond rather than react.
DJ Williams – The Senses of Serving a Generation
Leading the students of your community is fast paced and full of constant momentum. However, leading and serving can be two different things. One of the best tools that we have for orienting ourselves to our surroundings is our senses. This is true both in the physical and the spiritual. We’re going to spend some time talking about how to use your spiritual senses to serve the generation you’ve been called to.
Jason Gallion – Connecting & Communicating with Gen Z Students
This session guides leaders in effectively connecting with Gen Z students by focusing on their mindset, culture, and values. Participants will gain practical tools to build genuine relationships and foster conversations that help students feel understood, with the central aim of communicating God’s unchanging truth to this generation.
With biblical principles and hands-on strategies, participants move past surface interactions and build trust with students who value authenticity, struggle with identity and anxiety, and seek genuine connection. This lesson stresses relational ministry, clear communication, and Spirit-led leadership while staying committed to truth.
DJ Williams – Growing a Spiritually Mature and Balanced Youth Group
We see in the word of God that dynamic and visible moves of God are not (and should not be) uncommon. How do we equip our students to be balanced and spiritually mature enough to crave not just the dynamic and visible but ALSO the still and the small. Depth of relationship is not solely for a few dedicated students. Community is built on culture. Your community of students can have a culture of depth.
Reagan Matheson – Discipling Gen Z & Alpha
“How do I take my youth group deeper?” “How do I reach first generation students?” “How do I take a student from being an attender, to being a dedicated Christ-follower?” The Biblical answer is simple but powerful - DISCIPLESHIP. In this session we will seek to unpack what Biblical discipleship looks like and how to become effective in discipling both churched and unchurched students. You’ll walk away with practical tools and fresh insight to help you connect deeply, teach effectively and lead this generation into an authentic relationship with Jesus.
Tim Gaddy – A Healthy Pastor and Youth Worker Relationship
The relationship between Pastor and Youth Worker is of paramount importance. In this lab we’ll discuss the trust and communication needed to impact the church’s next generation with clarity and accountability.
Reagan Matheson – Cultivating A “Revival” Youth Culture
What if revival wasn’t an event we schedule, but a culture we cultivate? In this session, we’ll explore how to cultivate a “sticky” youth culture. An atmosphere that students are not only drawn to but will STICK. A place where they choose to stay and grow. Learn how to create an infrastructure and system for growth, cultivate authentic community, and deal with culturally relevant issues from the pulpit. You’ll walk away with practical principles and spiritual strategies to build a youth culture that burns with genuine revival.
Jason Gallion – Leading on Purpose - Leadership with Intention
This lab session is designed to move leaders from theory to practice by helping them apply the principles of intentional leadership in real-life ministry settings. Participants will engage in guided exercises that focus on clarifying vision, setting priorities, and aligning daily actions with God’s purpose. Through reflection, group discussion, and practical planning, leaders will evaluate their current leadership habits, identify areas of drift or inefficiency, and develop actionable strategies for leading with greater focus and effectiveness. By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a clear, prayer-driven plan to lead with purpose, order, and lasting impact.
